During the spring of 2017, Quebec experienced one of its worst floods ever. Around 2000 people were forced to leave their homes due the floods which came after excessive rainfall.
Samaritan’s purse stationed one of its crews at Hudson Community Baptist Church, giving its congregants (and whoever else wished) the honour of helping the people of Rigaud, Hudson, and outlying areas with flood relief.
- 52 families were assisted
- 47 homes were sanitized
- 85 volunteers were at the ready
- 28 homes were emptied
- and more…
The 196 days that Samaritan’s Purse was in the area, people’s emergency physical needs were being met. It was a wonderful opportunity to serve and to reach lives with the Gospel.
